Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 12 May 2025 · Effective Date: 12 May 2025
These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Saventis and individuals who enquire about or enrol in our reading programmes. Please read them carefully before completing an enrolment. Submitting an enrolment or making a programme fee payment constitutes acceptance of these terms.
1. About Saventis
Saventis is a Singapore-based provider of financial education reading programmes and discussion-led workshops for adults aged 40 and above. Our registered business address is 8 Marina View, #43-02, Asia Square Tower 1, Singapore 018960.
Saventis is an education provider. Nothing offered, discussed, distributed, or communicated within any programme constitutes financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or any form of regulated financial service. Participants seeking personalised financial guidance are encouraged to consult a licensed financial adviser or other qualified professional.
2. Programme Descriptions
Saventis currently offers the following reading programmes. Programme content, materials, and fee structures are subject to periodic revision; the version confirmed at the time of enrolment will apply to that cohort.

Six-week cohort programme · Cohort of twelve · S$160
Singapore Schemes Reading Workshop
Weekend workshop · Cohort of fourteen · S$440
Estate Conversations Reading Circle
Six-session reading circle · Cohort of ten · S$850
Programme descriptions on our website are provided for informational purposes. Saventis reserves the right to amend session content, session dates, facilitators, and supporting materials where reasonably necessary. Material amendments will be communicated to enrolled participants by email in advance of the affected session.
3. Eligibility
Our programmes are designed for adults aged 40 and above. Participation by individuals under the age of 40 is at Saventis's discretion. All participants must be aged 18 or above. By completing enrolment, you confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements for the programme you are enrolling in.
Programmes are conducted in English. A comfortable working reading ability in English is required to participate fully in the reading and discussion elements of each programme.
4. Enrolment and Confirmation
An enrolment is considered complete upon receipt of your programme fee payment and an enrolment confirmation email from Saventis. Submission of an enquiry or expression of interest does not constitute enrolment and does not reserve a place in a cohort.
Cohort places are allocated on a first-confirmed, first-placed basis. If the cohort you have applied for is full at the time your payment is received, we will notify you and offer either a place in the next available cohort or a full refund of the programme fee.
5. Fees and Payment
Programme fees are stated in Singapore Dollars (S$) and are inclusive of all reading materials specified in the programme description. Fees do not include travel, accommodation, or any other personal expenses incurred in attending sessions.
Payment must be received in full before the first session of the programme. Where payment is not received by the due date stated in the enrolment confirmation, Saventis reserves the right to release the reserved cohort place.
Saventis does not offer instalment payment arrangements unless expressly agreed in writing in advance of enrolment.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation by the Participant
If you wish to cancel your enrolment, please notify us in writing at [email protected]. The following refund schedule applies, calculated from the date we receive your written cancellation notice:
- More than 14 days before the first session: Full refund of the programme fee, less an administrative charge of S$30.
- 7 to 14 days before the first session: 50% refund of the programme fee.
- Fewer than 7 days before the first session: No refund is available. At our discretion, we may offer a transfer to a future cohort of the same programme.
- After the first session has commenced: No refund or partial refund is available for any sessions not yet attended.
Cancellation by Saventis
Saventis reserves the right to cancel a cohort where minimum enrolment numbers are not reached, where a venue becomes unavailable, or in circumstances outside our reasonable control. In the event of cancellation by Saventis, enrolled participants will receive a full refund of the programme fee or an offer of transfer to the next available cohort of the same programme.
Saventis's liability in the event of cancellation is limited to the refund of the programme fee paid. We are not liable for any consequential costs, including travel or accommodation costs, incurred by participants in anticipation of the programme.
7. Transfers and Substitutions
If you are unable to attend a cohort you have enrolled in, you may request a transfer to a future cohort of the same programme. Transfers must be requested in writing at least seven days before the first session and are subject to availability. One transfer per enrolment may be made at no additional charge. A second transfer request will incur an administrative fee of S$30.
Cohort places are non-transferable to another individual unless expressly approved in writing by Saventis.
8. Attendance and Participation
Our programmes are discussion-led and cohort-based. The experience of all participants is informed by the engagement and preparation of each individual within the group. Participants are expected to complete pre-session reading and attend sessions prepared to contribute to discussion.
If you are unable to attend a session within a multi-session programme, please notify us in advance where possible. We are not able to offer a pro-rated refund for individual sessions missed. Written session summaries may be made available at our discretion for participants who notify us of an absence in advance.
Saventis reserves the right to ask any participant to leave a session or withdraw from a programme where their conduct is materially disruptive to other participants or to the facilitation of the session. In such circumstances, no refund will be offered.
9. Programme Materials
Reading binders, summary cards, vocabulary materials, and other physical programme materials are included in the programme fee and are for the personal, non-commercial use of the enrolled participant only. All intellectual property rights in programme materials remain with Saventis.
Participants may not copy, reproduce, distribute, adapt, or make derivative use of programme materials without the prior written permission of Saventis. This includes photographing, scanning, or otherwise digitising physical materials for distribution.
Digital or printed extracts from publicly available Singapore government scheme documentation included in workshop materials are reproduced for educational reading purposes under fair dealing provisions and remain the property of their respective originators.
10. Educational Scope and Disclaimer
All Saventis programmes are educational in scope. The content of our programmes is drawn from publicly available information sources and is intended to support participants in developing reading comprehension, vocabulary, and conversational confidence around financial topics relevant to their life stage.
Nothing in any programme, session, material, or communication from Saventis constitutes financial advice, tax advice, legal advice, or any form of regulated service. Saventis facilitators do not make product recommendations or give opinions on individual financial decisions. Participants are encouraged to consult licensed and qualified professionals — including financial advisers, lawyers, and accountants — for personalised guidance relevant to their individual circumstances.
Saventis does not represent or imply that participation in a programme will produce any particular financial, legal, or personal outcome.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Singapore law, Saventis's total liability to a participant in connection with a programme shall not exceed the programme fee paid by that participant for the relevant cohort.
Saventis is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from participation in or cancellation of a programme, including losses arising from any decision a participant makes in connection with a financial product, scheme, or arrangement following attendance.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law.
12. Photographing and Recording
Audio or video recording of sessions is not permitted without the prior written consent of Saventis and all other participants in the session. Saventis may photograph sessions for its own non-commercial purposes (such as programme documentation). If you do not wish to be photographed, please advise us in writing before the relevant session.
13. Personal Data
The personal data you provide at enquiry and enrolment is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). By enrolling, you confirm that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
14. Modifications to These Terms
Saventis may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version in force at the date of your enrolment confirmation will govern your participation in the relevant cohort. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Where changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify enrolled participants by email before the relevant cohort commences.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms or your participation in a Saventis programme shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
